What is Yoga?
Yoga means many things to many people. According to ancient Vedic scholars, yoga is a science—a study of the body and its connection with the source of existence. Whether you are a newcomer to yoga, or an experienced practitioner, Yoga is a beautiful pathway to a happier, more harmonious life.
Yoga is more than an exercise routine. Practicing yoga helps us to achieve a level of body-mind-spirit consciousness from which we perceive ourselves and the wider world as interconnected, not separate or alone. It teaches us how to use our mind, body, and awareness to move from a state of fragmentation into a state of oneness with each other and the world around us.
The type of yoga I practice is a unique blend of Raja + Hatha yoga. Students cultivate a deep state of body-centered restful awareness, and learn how to maintain balance and calm in the midst of life’s daily stresses.
